I was riding Route 66 out West (ride report here ) and when I came into Grant's NM decided to ride some dirt down to Pie Town. Great fun and a nice break to the pavement riding. Dropped the air pressure down and pointed my R1200GS South.

104 miles later and I pull into the Pie O Neer cafe.

I took an extra gallon of fuel just in case.

Pretty cool little cafe, last time I was through, riding the Continental Divide route they were closed so I was glad to find them open.

Yup plenty of pie left too.

Anybody ever had sweet potato pie with what looked like pecans on top? That's a new one on me. I chickened out and had the good ol Pecan pie Ala mode.

Here is the boss, Ms. Kathy Knapp with another of her great pies. Very nice lady too!

Pie Town is on the Continental Divide Ride. One of best sections is Silver City to Pie Town.

Hey Countdown, yup agree. Rode the CD ride in 09, you can see the ride report in my sig. I wouldn't want to ride that section when it's not dry however! Thanks for the input.
