I was riding Route 66 out West (ride report here ) and when I came into Grant's NM decided to ride some dirt down to Pie Town. Great fun and a nice break to the pavement riding. Dropped the air pressure down and pointed my R1200GS South. <iframe src="//www.youtube.com/embed/FlclYiXpBpM?feature=player_detailpage" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="360" width="640"></iframe> <iframe src="//www.youtube.com/embed/UvqyWuTUfmY?feature=player_detailpage" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="360" width="640"></iframe> 104 miles later and I pull into the Pie O Neer cafe. I took an extra gallon of fuel just in case. Pretty cool little cafe, last time I was through, riding the Continental Divide route they were closed so I was glad to find them open. Yup plenty of pie left too. Anybody ever had sweet potato pie with what looked like pecans on top? That's a new one on me. I chickened out and had the good ol Pecan pie Ala mode. Here is the boss, Ms. Kathy Knapp with another of her great pies. Very nice lady too! What a nice side trip off my Route 66 Ride. Life is good I tell ya. Ride safe.
