    August 10th, 2013.

    Ok, here are the details.

Sixth annual. Wow, how time flies. Bring a pie to share with the rest. There will be hand cranked ice cream again this year. We start eating pie at about 2:00 PM. For those staying late there will be ribs and burgers (and pie) in the evening. The location has changed. It's just a couple miles from the last location. See the map below. Plenty of room for camping again this year, also hotels nearby.

Circle F Brewing (Fifthcircle) will be brewing special PieFest beer for the occasion. :1drink

Since my new-to-me bike is allergic to your Nebraska corn squeezed fuel, be on the look out for Old Yeller.

You can get plenty of "regular" gas at any station, you just want an excuse to ride in comfort :deal :lol3

    IN!

I will also be brewing some special beer for the event. I have a couple in mind that I think EVERYONE will like. Perfect for a hot summer day too :evil

This conflicts with the 7th Annual Balloon & Wine Fest in Omaha.

I will need to see the full list of attendees at PieFest before I will commit.

I like this. Missed the last one, looking forward to sharing some new pies. Pretty sure I've mastered blackberry pear w/cardamom.

This still on the outskirts of Lincoln, or did you move closer to MSP for me? :lol3

Well, actually PieFest has moved out of Lincoln. PieFest this year will be near Walton, NE. For you MSP guys it will mean about three miles more riding.

Put it on the calendar. Will add 1-1/2 miles to my 3 mile ride to the new location, more country roads!

FYI: The date is in the middle of WEST FEST. May be in CO.

Is the friday off to make a pie?

Last year we rode down saturday morning, stayed saturday night (sleeping soundly and dreaming dreamy pie dreams) and rode back sunday. It was most excellent.

No, it was to ride down. Leaving Sat and coming back Sun will works if that is what you do. Most excellent, I will put it on the calendar and start thinking about a pie to bring.

We had a good ride down and back, so we did. We leave early, but it's a good ride down.

We came back via Baxter cycle open day last year, which was splendid. There was also a rather good breakfast stop, and lots of :ricky

It's a pretty damn fine weekend all round.

Even this slacker gets there in a day. There are some nice non-slab routes that don't cost much time but quite improve the trip.
