Sunday big bike ride anyone? I'm looking to get my new bike a little dirty. :)
What are you riding, Gary?
FYI - chiggers are still in season. Apply deet before you go out there. I forgot this precaution last Saturday...
I'm doing my street ride Saturday, so could bring my Africa Twin down on Sunday. Pick a place and a time.
p.s., did you get the manual or DCT?
Was that a "yes" for Sunday, or do I have to take the wife to the beach?
Saturday would be better. Just up 206 from Atsion is a bbq lunch and bikini bike watch. Here is a pic I just took while in the dealership2.
How are they as far as dealers go..
Just wondering saw a few ads for sales..
They have been good to me. I've been a customer for many years. While they were flashing my ECM, I sat on a KTM Freeride.... WOW!!! I told them I would buy it full price if I could leave with NJ license plate. Unfortunately, that ship has sailed. Their biggest sellers are the 350 and 500 EXCs because they are street legal.
Take the wife to the beach.
Nah. A bunch of us are going to do little bikes instead. See ya!
Where? When? Thanks.
Yo Doc -
How little is your little bike?
Where are you going and when?
I am thinking about trailing the HP2 down to Atsion tomorrow for some Quaker Bridge Road fun. I have to spin the tires in some sand before the PB500.
Sno Dawg - Jeff
Jeff, my "little bike" is a 250 Honda Rally. So I can keep up with the guys who like to run singles.
Doing a street ride tomorrow, if you are interested. We are meeting at the Crossroads Diner at 9, and heading to the Viaduct in Pa. Your HP2 would be perfect. I'm gonna be riding my AT.
"Conversation" me if you want details.
Ran into sno dawg at the bike wash. We were the only riders on dirt bikes.
Bill, no pics of the redhead? Ran across Sno Dawg in the woods with a new rider in tow on his new CRF250. He was doing pretty good on stock tires in soft sand. Pretty sure he's hooked. Nice to meet you Jeff and now I forget the other guys name. We pointed him to this thread to look for others doing rides so maybe he'll chime in.
Great to meet you and ride with you today. It was a gorgeous day in the woods and I saw a few deer and a bunch of people hiking, riding horses, canoeing and backpacking - all enjoying the scenery and the weather. I pulled over for three women on horse on Quaker Bridge Road and waited for them to pass. They were very nice and thanked a couple of times.
I think the guys name was Brendan. He said he graduated from St Joes Prep and was new to riding and really new to the Pine Barrens. I give him a ton of credit for exploring on his new Honda 250. Great bike for the sand of south Jersey!! He had exactly the right attitude for dual sport riding
Hey Bill - I am looking forward to riding with you in Brendan Byrne soon. Your 690 has to be the nicest one around!
Funny thing about the Bike Wash is that none of those guys getting their bikes washed needed it. Their bikes were sparkling clean. If Bill brought his 690 in and I brought the HP2 in, those poor girls would have had to work for it.
Nice if I check earlier I would have tried to get ride in with you . I got cabin at Atison stating the Saturday the 2nd for a week so I'll have the Elefant out.
I should have more time off this Fall and next Spring to ride with you guys!!
I decided last minute today to head down to the sand for about an hour of riding. It was great to meet Brendan on his Honda (new guy doing great), Mike on his shiny KTM EXC - experienced rider, and Bill - live in/near the woods.
Keep in touch,
Sno Dawg - Jeff
BTW - I trailered down this morning to save the knobbies.
Hey bemitten, it was great riding with you and sno dog earlier today. Thanks for all the tips, and yes I'm definitely hooked now haha! Hopefully I'll see you around PB sometime!
Sno Dawg, hey man it was awesome meeting you and riding with you for awhile there today! Hope to see you around PB in the future! If you ever need a buddy, albeit a slow buddy for now, message me on here!
