Going to be beautiful tomorrow in the 100 acre wood.
Anyone want to play hooky and wander around Brandon Byrne a little?
Maybe meet at Pakim Pond at 10?
Have fun Doc ,I'm gonna try and get out one day next week next week .
Sorry I couldn't make Wednesday. That's a work day for me. Will try and make your hooky day next week.
Today was spectacular. 50 degrees, no wind, a little rain last night to "treat" the surface, AND NO BUGS!
Sorry if anyone went to Pakim Pond at 10. I was a little late because I was trying to find a duck in Double Tree....
Here are some photos and videos:
Too bad we aren’t allowed to do the fire cuts!
Looks like it was a great day to get out riding - Was your 4th picture taken off of Butterworth road?
No, it was near the One Pond Canoe access in Double Tree. Did not go on the fire cut. That's illegal, and it went a little too close to the police barracks, where they were doing target shooting!
Are those pits legal to ride in? The Presidential Lakes Pit looks like it would be fun to ride in.
The road that comes off of Mt. Misery road that goes by it is legal, but I don't think you are supposed to play in the pits. Except during the BBB enduro.
I’m going out tomorrow at 8 am around Atsion if anyone wants to meet up.
Anyone riding tomorrow?
~9:30-10:00 @ Atsion ranger station?
I'm doing Pakim Pond at 10:00 a.m. for some kinder and gentler riding. Also, give it a little time to warm up.
I might meet you at pakim @ 10:00 am. It was a chilly ride this morning.
Cool. Will look for you.
Yeah, this time of year, the ride to the start is usually the most challenging. By 10:00, it warms up to nice.
I may be a few minute late, can't remember where I put my key down...
Had a great ride yesterday with @docgonzo. Weather wasn't too cold and the trails were excellent. One of the last trails gave us a fun challenge since the sand was a bit deeper than some of the other areas we were riding. Doc breezed through on his Africa Twin and I took a few spills on my DR. I had my GoPro out using a chest mount which made for a nice stable picture, but it was mounted too low so the bike cockpit takes up a large portion of the screen. I'll edit together a quick video and post sometime this week.
Ok anyone able to sneak out Thursday thinking 10 am to 1pm and hope for sun . I want to check out some trails on Sandycauseway side of Atison Lake .
I can probably do Thursday morning at 10 at Atsion. I'm on call Wed., so it sort of depends on whether anything is left over that has to be done on Thurs.
But tentatively, I'll be there at 10. I have a track for the West side of 206 if we need it. Some nice deep sand over there!
Cool so little bikes I'm thinking if looking for sand .
I'll bring the little bike, but you should bring the Cagiva to balance out the difference in abilities! Then, maybe I can keep up with you!
