What air do you use in your tires.
Helium in the front Argon in the rear.
Depends on the season. Right now, it's time to change to summer air.
Thanks all. I promise not to ask more tire questions for now...
I call bullshit.
Just to get things back on track:......
I'm planning an SOF ride on Friday - weather looks like it may co-operate;
This will be a 3 on Bill's K&G scale and a 7 on Gerry's SOF scale.
Starting point at THE WAWA;
Friday sounds good, Gerry. The later the better to let the moisture clear, and the sun to warm things up.
And your scale is way to complicated for me. Which bike are you riding!
Barry - it may make sense to meet at my house - Meeting Bill at the WAWA and riding
back NORTH - ending up at Gt Adv; I have to get back by mid-afternoon.
Sounds like a plan. Just let me know what time at your house.
Tentatively set for 10AM at THE WAWA but this is totally dependant on the weather.
Forecast getting better!
Barry/Bill: Weather forecast shows rain at my house till 11AM BUT only cloudy in Chatsworth;
I may trailer down to the WAWA instead - why don't we touch base at 8:30 AM Friday and make a final
decision? This will give us time to get to the WAWA for 10 (or later if we need to)
Sounds like a plan.
Cold and wet has conspired to dull my enthusiasm for a ride this morning.
Instead, I watched this video, which will tell you everything you need to know about tires, CCs, suspension, etc.
I like the comment that one of the most experienced riders he knows wants the cheapest black and rubbery tires he can get on his bike for the woods!
p.s., keep your eyes out for a Sunday ride in the 100 acre woods, weather permitting!
If anyone sees me, I’ll be headed out around 11 through Bass River toward Batsto on my Black DRZ. I’ll be wearing a green / grey fox helmet.
Sorry I haven’t been posting much, just returned from out west. Unfortunately I didn’t get to ride, but I did do some hiking in Phoenix, Sedona, and Grand Canyon.
I even managed to get a decent pic of Fort Mifflin during the landing in Philly
The videos those guys make are awesome. For those that don't know, they have a thread here on advrider.
I may ride out to Forked River mountain from Atsion on Sunday if the weather is decent. May stop at Lucilles for breakfast or lunch.
It doesn't matter to Chris Birch. But I've done all the rides/races on my 650 and it's a lot easier on a 300.
