I wish I had your tolerance and patience. I couldn’t even imagine starting over with that leg.
Especially after just having the down time getting your neck done.
Back when I was about 20 my buddy crashed his HD and broke his leg in 23 places. His leg wouldn’t heal and he had a full leg cast for 2yrs. They’d cut the cast off check it and put another one on. He was down to a cast from the knee down. I think it was cast #11. He got his bike fixed. Strapped his crutches to the side and went riding. About the third ride an old man pulled out in front of him and he went through the side window snapping his leg just above the cast. All total he spent 3yrs in a cast.

When I had my big crash in 1989, I shattered my left arm. They pieced it back together and put a pin from my shoulder inside the bone all the way to my elbow. Had an immovable cast on for 13 months. My bicep was the size and consistency of a saugage after I got that cast off.

I've only been immobile for 10 weeks and my left leg is already the same size as my sausage.

    You just deal with it.

In the mean time just make plans when you're up on two wheels again.

I’m more afraid of the beatings from the wife if I don’t get back to work. When I was getting admitted to the ER last Friday one of the questions they asked if I felt safe and unafraid at home. I looked at my wife and said they’re on to you.

I’ve worked for Schwans for nearly 20 years. I can hook you up with a giant box of those if you can’t kick the habit or if popsicle rehab doesn’t work for you.

Hey all. Just a note.. When I was in Alabama I hosed up my Nelson Riggs tank bag. Today I decided to contact them . Simply because I couldn't find replacement parts on any sites. Without any hassle and in a timely manner they are sending me the new straps and buckle's no questions asked. So I decided I should let folks know, and say a few good words about their products and services.

    Hats off to Nelson Riggs
