What the coordinates for laurel fork campground? I will ride down on Saturday. This what i got from the US forest service web site. Latitude : 38.740270
Longitude : -79.692320. Is this the same place we camped last year, greg?
Again for those of you that are not meeting Greg in the morning, we are meeting him and his crew at the Kickstand ice cream parlor in Ohiopyle at 12 o'clock. It is located on Sheridan Street off of Route 381.
I'm looking at the map and its alot less traffic for me to meet up at the kickstand ice cream instead of Bridgeville. I left a mess. with Disconnected. I hope he got it. I'll hit Ohiopile about 11:30. Can I get a cell # from one of you guys in case there's a problem finding you?
Sounds like the place!
So it looks like it will just be Jk hopper, paslammer and I who are meeting at the Exxon in Mt pleasant?
Thanks for putting this ride together - what a fricken BLAST. Great people, great roads and the weather PERFECT. Looking forward to next time already ...
Greg, here is the link for GS DirtBagz ... time to pick up that bike in Jersey and get the Dirtbagz up again.
I want to be a Dirtbag
Got to agree with 1V-man. What a fricken blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The ride was awesome.
The weather was even better.
But the people were the best.
Lets go again.
I had a GREAT time! Does anyone have any pictures?! I forgot my camera so I don't. :-(
I agree, we should change the name to "What a Freakin' Blast Campout!"
Thanks for showing us the trails Greg. Guys, keep in touch the next time any of you head out. Take care.
Just a couple more pictures ...
We managed to get a few photos from the trip. We had a great time and it was wonderful meeting you all!! We will DEFINITELY need to get together again soon!! Special thanks to all of you!
I second PA Slammer's motion to rename this to the "What a Freakin' Blast Campout". Want to go back tomorrow!!!! Too many routes, too little time. Excited about resurrecting this event the way it was meant to be.
I'm looking for a GPS track for the "Blue Loop" around Pittsburgh. Can anyone suggest a source?
Ann Arbor MI
Don't know about the "Blue Loop". You may be thinking of the "Blue Belt" if you are referring to a paved route.
I'm heading Snoeshoe Mt. with 1V-Man. Friday morn. I got a double room to myself if any of you all want to join fri. and sat. nite
Government shutdown means I'm last man standing at work... all leave cancelled. No playing until this gets resolved. Have fun.
Greg, please make sure Big Jim gets this link and checks it over. It should help with a few of his EXC 500 issues. I'm getting closer to puling that trigger myself! Ooooooo I want that bike!
That SUCKS ... hopefully it will be short lived and you'll be out playing soon.
Since I've gotten home I've been looking at a few "smaller bikes" mainly the DR after watching/seeing Gregs.
I"ve been lookin at dual sport bikes myself. I been lookin at KTM 690. When you look at weight and seat height. Its hard to beat. Gregs DR is plenty impressive. I"ve had the off road KTM for 10 yrs. It's not comfy at all for all day riding. Comes down to how much time you spend off road-trail ride-adventure ride.
(At my age its all an adventure) But I love my 800
