For those not familiar - I am very much an amateur rider and "videographer" (aka the one guy who remembered to charge his gopro), I ride mostly in Arizona but try to get out of the heat in summer (mostly to CO and Europe, where I'm originally from). I try to put together videos from these rides, mainly as sort of a memory for me and to share with my friends/family back home.

I figured it's time I created a thread where I can post of all these highly mediocre creations without spamming the regional groups etc. If you're watching this thread then you only have yourself to blame ;)

My Youtube channel is here - https://www.youtube.com/user/plawa

So to set the scene, some past videos that I consider my better work:

    Mexico 2017

    White Rim Road

    Hell Week 2016 Trailer

And sometimes, there are no bikes at all..

I've managed to get out to Colorado twice this September, the first trip was "Hell Week" on dirtbikes, the second time I brought my GS.

I'll be posting the Hell Week videos a I manage to edit them, the GS riding will come later.

    Here's day 1

And day 2 - with probably some of the best shots that I have managed to get so far with the drone (DJI Mavic) towards the end of the video.

You already have an audience of faithful followers here in AZ, nice that you share with the rest of ADV. Maybe it will convince more riders that AZ is NOT a hell hole & that we ride year round, we truly are motorcycle nirvana. IN

Two friends of mine are on a pretty epic journey across the Americas, they have been on the road for 9 months now, went all the way from Ushuaia up to Prudhoe Bay in about 40k miles. They stopped here in Phoenix for a couple days on their way back south so I took them out to see some of the easier offroad stuff.. after all they still need to make it to Atlanta before shipping their bikes back to Europe. This video was mainly for their FB page hence the logo and the recycled soundtrack..

You can follow them on FB here - https://www.facebook.com/americanway2017/

How did they like AT? It's interesting to get the perspective of RTW travelers when they ride the stuff that for us seems like just an easy Sunday ride.

They liked AT a lot, I took them back over Four Peaks (with the disclaimer that it's one notch more difficult) and that got a slightly different response .. but still positive ;) They cursed me a bit this morning, apparently their legs hurt for some reason.. she's on a F650GS Twin with F/R Mitas E-07 that have done 30k miles and still have some life in them. Not exactly what I get out of a TKC 80 with my throttle finesse.

I remember the first time I took my GS over AT, I felt like I just conquered Dakar...

Since I call this my diary I might as well post all the crap that I end up getting on video... On the way to work this morning, the genius in the Accord decides he absolutely needs to make the left turn across 3 lanes (and merge where?), they guy in the white truck really didn't have a chance to do anything and ended up putting a nice dent in his rear door. I stopped, got his email and sent him the video, it was a company truck so I figured I'd save him a trip to the defensive training class even though he wasn't at fault. that's the kind of character I am ;)

How else are you going to find the epic single track trails, not on google earth?

    I'm on fire..

Day 4 turned out to be a hell of a day.. we headed out to Taylor Park to follow the Doctor Park Trail back towards CB, then hopped over to Italian Creek and took the wrong turn up Waterfall (there really wasn't a sign, we checked..). We ended up doing over 120 miles and all of us dug deep towards the end.

We also found a couple technical spots on the way to play on so inevitably hilarity ensued. And as a bonus, I eat shit ;)

A quick detour from bike videos.. I got invited to a weekend getaway at an amazing location in MX so I figured the least I can do is get the owner some aerial footage of the house..

Day 5 of Hell Week... we were all pretty shot after day 4 so we figured we'd change things up a bit and go ride MTB down the mountain... turns out that's not exactly a relaxing way to spend the morning, my legs were killing me after just a couple rides so we jumped back on dirtbikes and went looking for places to goof off...
