Hello: I finally install my Zumo and ready for a long ride with GPS aids. If someone would teach me how to create a route on the mapsource program and load it to the zumo. I am totally lost with the mapsource program. Not that easy. What is the difference between PC base map and City Navigator North America mode? I use google map and can create my own prefer riding route, can I transfer that to Mapsource?

This is where you need to be. Read the stickies in this forum first and then do a search and you will find your answers.

In my opinion the ability to create your own custom routes is a HUGE plus for GPSs that include the computer mapping program in their package. GPS units that decide for you how you're going to get from point A to point B are useful in an emergency or when you're only interest in the fastest route, but are of no value at all when you want to travel via a circuitous scenic route. Learning to program your own routes is absolutely mandetory in order for you to reap the maximum usefulness from the GPS.
