With some help from you Inmates I have put together a list of the most common aftermarket exhaust systems for the Honda XR650L (not the R model). This is in response to a bolt-on product we designed to support the subframe. When we designed this support it was with the intention of using the OEM exhaust. Well.... the response for this product was strong because of the notoriously weak XR650L subframe. What we also found was that many of you have aftermarket exhaust systems. I did an informal query to find out what were the exhaust options and put together this poll based on that. If we can get at least 250 responses (or more) I think we will have enough of an understanding of how to move forward on an update to the original design.

Spread the word to other XR650L riders to vote so we can move forward with the project. Also... please only vote once.

Thanks for voting. Now get a bunch of other XR650L riders to vote as well. We cannot move forward until we have a bunch of data. Our goal is to make this subframe support available to as many as possible.

I have a fmf Q4 with an fmf powerbomb header. I had to trim out some of the right side subframe support to have clearance over the muffler head pipe. Other than that they are a great addition to my XR650L.:jack

    Hi Bob.

Could you send them to twistedrider at twistedthrottle d0tc0m? Some of the other guys might like to see the images as well so if you can post them here that would be great. You might need to get a smugmug, flikr or picasa account to host the images unless you already have a website or place online to host your shots. Once you have that copy the address of the image location and hit the little icon that is yellow with a green mountain and sun and put the image address in the box that pops up. Hit enter and you've done it.....

My Customer Service Manager told me he was in contact with you. You can send them to the email address he provided you with. I thank you a whole bunch for putting so much effort into this. It will help us and the rest of the XR650L riders in the long run.

Grabbed the shots and passed them along. I didn't realize that FMF had 3 different header pipes to chose from......

Kevin, there are only 2 headers available for the XR650L from FMF, they are the Hi-Flo and the Powerbomb, just for your information. Thanks again. Bob:D

I assume that the subframe supports also fit with some of the current aftermarket pipes. Do you know which those are, if there are any?

I have the DG slip-on, got it on ebay.

it's decent I guess, the sound isn't too raspy, but low and loud.
