    Hello there,
That green text color you are using is almost impossible to read when perusing ADV on Tapatalk which had a white background instead of black.

Oh I had only seen it against black. Let me change them.

So I hadn't talked about it too much, but I actually haven't bought Pannier bags yet lol. You may be thinking, "But aren't you leaving in 5 days?" "How is it that you havent even been packing and repacking your gear to make sure it will all fit?"

Believe me, I am thinking the same.

Mosko Moto has a new set of side panniers coming out on MONDAY that are exactly the size and style that I want. The model is the Mosko Moto Scout 25L. It is a soft bag that is mounted to the bike and has removable stuff sacks. This makes life a lot easier to pull the bags off the bike without constantly removing the mounts etc. The bags are a little smaller than I used to pack for my last trip, so I am a little nervous if I will be able to do a good job minimizing my stuff to pack in them. I prefer a minimalist approach and less weight though, so I am going for it.

I will ride tow Mosko Headquarters next week to pick them up the day before I leave. I am going to just cross my fingers that this part of the prep works out as planned lol. Based on my horrible timing, I should be the first customer with a production set of these bags. I hope that doesn't result in bad luck.

Here are some pictures of the bags. Pretty cool if you ask me.

I was able to snag a tool tube from a friend today. The tabs were a little short for my rack, but I was able to bolt down one end and zip tie the other. I think there is plenty of support and my tool roll fits inside perfectly.

Just a heads up, there are lot of damaged road sections and landslides from the recent earthquake between the state of Oaxaca and Chiapas. Not sure if more came later from the aftershock since I passed through over a week ago. You are better off taking the northerly route.

You will probably meet my friend Joe aka LoneStar on the Oct 30 passage.

Believe or not I still feel like I'm pressed for time and constantly rushing. There's just too much to see along the way!

I'll close my eyes so I don't feel like I'm missing as much lol. The boat is small, so I'm sure that Joe and I will get to know eachother lol

Your last 2 weeks at work should be used for productive things, like creating files for each border crossing :)

Just in case Mosko falls thru Cycle Gear has Kriega bags of all sizes. I put a us 5 on the number plate of my 450 EXC for tools and stuff. Great gear and will be getting more.

Sorry to hear you won't make the EFR ride but I think you will have fun, PICTURES please!

    Dad still riding the HP?

    See ya next time.

Hey thanks! Mosko was with me till the very end and I actually ended up with a set of their bags that I was NOT expecting to pick up. I just grabbed the Atacama's today. Probably the only KTM with them on earth lol.

I may see if they have a good kriega tank bag. My budget just took a hit in the bag department :/

My dad ended up with a 2012 r1200gs rallye because all of the hp2 deals never worked out lol. I think he's still going to sell the gs for the hp2.

Ok, so I have to ask...
How far do you expect those knobbies to last?

Guadalajara more or less. They are the stock tires so I do want to work through them and then ditch the knobs.

Why not change to a more street (dual) friendly compound given your route?
