PM Sent.Oh I got a tech day project:eek1
pbarmy, your signature line there is a favorite joke of mine, that I've just about given up on. When I first heard it, I wanted to use it when appropriate, and I swear no one ever got it. Ever!
Man, that is pretty. I used to have one just like that, except the taillight housing was black, and the seat was slightly different. Still my favorite airhead.
Your going to need a big set of pedals to get that thing moving
My '83 80 G/S of which I am the second owner, it has done a four year around the world including a trans Africa trip from Cairo to Cape town with the first and another trans Africa trip in the opposite direction with me.
It has now done 170,000 miles.
Also my 91' 80 GS I have owned from new, it has also been around the world and has now done 160,000 miles.
Both are excellent bikes with different characters and strong points, if I had to choose one it would be the GS, but only just.
Hey MIke, looks like the same year as mine, 1970?
We did one of those a few years ago with Sheps bike
Started off like this on a Friday night
And ended up like this and running on the Sunday evening
71?I haven't got the title from my friend yet.
Here's a link.
make sure you get a title!!! Long story short, my original frame was bent, bought another frame but now cannot get a title for it. I now am looking at buying another frame to make it legal in Ohio. I hate doing things three times over!
It might be time to say goodbye. I've got it on Craig's. Since I mostly ride my g/s if I get the chance to ride
Know anyone in Mich?My buddy titles alot of stuff there.ALOT less complicated than Ohio.
too bad I don't know anyone there! Iam so ticked off I did not get the title with this frame!
Maybe we can figure something out.Bike nite tomorrow at Motorcycle Solutions.
Actually this Is the better side.
Just posting some updated pictures of my build
Beautiful bike and beautiful backgrounds, airhead_irl!
Many thanks my friend ! I live in Ireland but the pics are mostly in France on road trips.
I bought it around 5 years ago. Love it....definitely a keeper !
This Café looks really mean! Love your seat, and the tank looks pretty cool. I hear that even with clearcoat, a bare tank will rust. Did you take any special precautions?
I would love to see more detail shots. I have been thinking about a mirror like that one. Any photos showing the bars and grips?
