1998 501 Berg before I plated it. Insanely fun but it was way too easy to ride past my limits. The matching dirtbike was more my speed.
@albacore how long did it take you to lose your license on that thing?
Only one ticket. Going high-side and landing on my head was the end.

Exactly , perfect example.
Well I do have to admit I've taken it on a few adventures, but ones where flickability was rewarded.
Having owned a multi and now an XR650R sumo o can tell you the Honda feels like a mini version of the Buell.
Was the second picture down taken in the Gunks just outside of Minnewaska?
My unexciting but trutsy G650x Moto.
I love the G650X, great bike.
I almost parted with my Berg 650 after getting the Ape, but then I rode it again and came to my senses lol. The Husky is an '04 450 that was passed around locally, traded for it 7 years ago, gave it a facelift and I was hooked! The early Husky's are very reliable. My buddy has an '04 with over 40K on the clock. The motor was still tight, but he lost 6th gear last year and since it was down, freshened her up.
A little Sumo visit to the Dawsonville Pool Room.
@miamimoto do you have any details on the wheel conversion on this DR650?
Hey Achtung---------both wheels are from a Honda F3----120/70F & 160/60R.
Front---the Suzuki axle is smaller so my buddy had spacers made with a shoulder that inserts into the Honda bearings.
Rear----the axle diameter is the same so only the width of the spacers need to be altered.
My buddy has done a bunch of these conversions so they are not uncommon around Eastern TN. He recently sold the one in this picture with a little over 70K miles.
Here's a buddies XR 650
My trusty G650x Moto.
A few more old pics I found today
Shades of Death Rd in NJ in last winter.
This ones from Whiteface Mountain in NY. Had a dualsport tire on the rear that day because of a flat I got earlier.
Yeah, on US44/NY55.
Looks like a really clean set up. Very nice.
