Can someone tell me how to post photos? I opened an account with photobucket, which may be the most annoying thing I've dealt with today, and an hour later haven't figured out how to post.

I think hardwaregirl was explaining it on the main bearing/rocker arm pin in oil pan thread.

As you can see, I finally figured it out. I consulted with several searches here, most of which seemed contradictory.

If I had my way, most computer software "engineers" would be herded into New Jersey and then....

Why we can't upload the photo directly? Even it's a small file?

Attachements went bye bye because of server load.(thank you Dakar 2012) Basically any file sharing website with have a "share" button to click, then you can copy/paste the IMG or HTML code in the field. Usually you will have a choice in size. But some free sites will only offer the original or thumbnail size. I feel smugmug is the friendliest site to use but you have to buy your friends.:D

    Look...

Photo Bucket is actually easier to navigate than SmugMug but SM has better color. Go figure...

    So heres what you do:

Load your photos to PhotoBucket. (I've loaded as many as 50 at a time.) Then, I like to reduce the size to "Large" so I click on the photo, which brings it up in the "Edit" format.

I click the button that corects the color and then go to the sizing colum and click large.
    I click "save a copy".
Label the copy "SMALLER" (Or what ever!)
Copy the address for chat boards (Not emails!)

And paste that address into my posts here.

It's really pretty simple once you figure it out and the service is free.

Hmmm, that sounds like 7 or 8 clicks plus some typing for what can be done in 3 easy clicks on Smugmug....

8 sizes of every pic on smugmug are just 3 clicks away. It all works though - just find what works best.
