I decided to take advantage of my Amazon Prime membership by using the free photo storage. But I can't seem to post any of the photos on ADVRider. I've used Smugmug in the past, just get a link to the photo, paste it in and it works.

I open the Amazon photo app, go to the picture I want to share, press the share button and select "copy link." Then I paste that link in to the box after selecting the photo icon on my ADVRider post. But I only see the "IMG", the photo never shows up.

I've spent a couple hours searching ADVRider and Google for answers and I can't find anything. There must be other people out there using Amazon photo storage.

If anyone can help me figure this out I sure would be grateful.

This might be a real shot in the dark, but what if the trick for videos works on your photos.

After you paste, try deleting just the "s" from "https:" so it becomes http:

I think some of the "cloud" sites are only for storage and not set up as a hosting site. :dunno.

When you come from Amazon...you get this...text/html

Here's your photo using a host you get this JPEG Image.

The link only went to the photo and I couldn't get it to post as a JPEG.

hi, did you get any luck?
After the photobucket debacle I decided to use prime for my photos, but although I managed to link the photos into the forum, the photos soon vanish (cloud an all that maybe - I am not a tech).

If not I will need to yet again find a subscription with another company. :(
I w ill need to load lots of photos here, when I write my ride report of my summer tour in Africa.

fwiw, smugmug works seamless for me since about ten years ago, is reasonably priced, and has features other sites do not (such as anonymous links, you control who sees what, etc).

I never did succeed at using Amazon for photo hosting. I don’t think it’s possible. It’s for storage only not hosting, I think. Smugmug does work flawlessly, is reasonably priced, etc... good luck!
