Just recieved the Powerlet (RAM) Cradle for the Zumo 660. PBK 006.

Can not seem to get the cradle to hold the Zumo.

    Anyone else have this challenge?

    Thanks

After a bit of additional research, it seems as though the Powerlet (Ram) Snap In Cradle is for the NUVI 660, not the Zumo 660.

Anyone know of a compariable less than $200 soultion?

    Thanks

Looking to utilize a removable mount with a non-hard wired power supply.

    Thanks

Do you still have the automotive mount for your zümo 660? You could try to adapt that to a RAM mount. That cradle ends with a standard (automotive) lighter plug. I used a similar setup when I took a trip with a rental bike that had a power socket near the dash.

The downside is that it's not as waterproof as the motorcycle mount, and your zümo will recognize what cradle it's in, and will ask you (every power-up) if you want to change to "automotive mode."

You could also snip off the auto-style plug and replace it with a Powerlet plug if that's the type of outlet you have available. But be careful - sometimes those big auto-type plugs have a voltage regulator chip in them that drops the voltage down to 5v or whatever the zümo is expecting.

    Appreciate the thoughts.

We bought the Powerlet handlebbar moune, the Zumo short Powerlet ended power cord, and the cradle for the Nuvi 660.

The Bike Mount from the garmin kit is "too complicated" with additional connections and options.

Would have thought with Harley and BMW using the Zumo as OEM applications, there would be a RAM cradle available.

    The quest continues.
