FINALLY someone has made a Weatherproof USB power socket that will plug right into a Powerlet / BMW style plug so you can charge/power your mobile electronics.

Powerlet has just released their PAC-069 Powerlet to Dual USB 2.1A Adapter.

With this solution you can convert a Powerlet socket to two USB Type A Connectors. Provides 2.1 Amp charging ports with weather proof cover.

The waterproof unit has a low profile design that is glove friendly and allows for fast charging of multiple devices. Works great with tablets and smartphones (iPad, Android, Galaxy, others), MP3s, and GPS.

Seems to charge very well...for the $ though, the rubber cover is flimsy and isn't staying in very well...Anyone else have an experience like this?:ear

Not for nothing but this is HotSpice's vendor thread.
It may be bad form to offer another outlet here for this product.

Possibly one could suggest to the other vendor to offer up a post, offer ADV discounts, and all the other things that go along with being a vendor.

After looking further Burns offers the Powerlet product at the same price as HotSpice. Is it possible the products are not entirely similar?

Well this is disappointing. After just now reading the vendor forum rules I would have expected the offender to have been dematerialized by now.

Sincere apologies to all, especially the OP. I did not realize this was a vendor thread. I have deleted the post. I am not a vendor.
