Apparently you were not here for last June, at least not in Oregon. It was the 10th coldest June ever and the wettest since 1941 (as recorded at the Portland Airport).

Maybe last year was better in Seattle :dunno If this year is the same, I'm sending June north.

I didn't start riding to work until last month, what with cold/dark/snow and all. We had a couple weeks of nice but cold weather, and I kept thinking "If it ever warms up a little..." One day, we hadn't had snow or rain for about 10 days, and though it was 30 degrees outside it was a nice sunny day. So I geared up and rode to work in it. Not too bad, and the next day a polarfleece neck gaiter made it even better.
Last couple days it's been raining HARD all the damn time..... I've got raingear, and I've ridden in the rain before. I just don't like it! Currently 50 and raining in Wenatchee. Yuck.
And the dirt was getting nicely thawed and dried out, too. :cry

Werd, but it sometimes helps to gripe about getting douched on, or frozen out after the fact, too !

I have all the gear to be warm and dry. But I just don't seem to like riding in the rain all that much, mostly because I worry about other drivers not seeing me. After watching them on their phones, texting, reading a book and applying makeup while driving, I've pretty much concluded they're all out to kill me. :rofl And that's on a sunny day. I have high viz gear, a white helmet, and am installing a Stebel air horn and a modulating brake light. At $4/gallon, I'm going to have to get over this not riding in the rain business muy pronto.

Yep, what he said... have only driven the truck to work 1 day this year. That was to make sure the store bought tune-up worked well.

I have been to Shedd Oregon (and the nearby outdoor range).

I'm a daily rider, don't even have a car, the weather usually isn't a big deal to me.

Saturday I tilled the garden then it rained so hard Sunday that the soil liquefied. The tiller literally capsized and sank in the garden, what a f-ing mess. I could stand some dry weather.

We still live in the best place on earth guys. Your desire to ride is all that keeps you from doing it.

There is a ride leaving Wenatchee on the 21st called the run to border. Should be about 300 bikes, all makes and models......Weather is supposed to be good....... Been doing it for about 8 years now and always impressive........ Run from Wenatchee to Oroville..... Then everyone splits up and some of us take the loop over Taroda pass to Curlew then over Kellers ferry then back to Wenatchee always a good time........Come Rain or Shine.......
