Due to lack of engine noise and the ritual of pouring a liquid you will switch sports? It's still timing, balance, and reading the section. Very little else will change other than the way the back wheel is spun.

If I can't hear or smell a well-tuned engine, yes.

I do love me the smell of two stroke.

But I don't think I could hate anything enough to want to go golfing instead...

Well while this was fun and all, I'll go back to working on/servicing my beloved internal combustion engine-driven 2, 4, and 6 wheeled vehicles this afternoon and stop hijacking this armaturehead thread. Enjoy, kiddies! :D

Let's see a electric indoor trials, till then they remain an oddesy. I would guess if this is the future then they would be promoted. (For the Children)

I know it's vaporware, but isn't the Mecatechno supposed to be considerably lighter than a petrol burning version? At least it's not as heavy as a Montesa!

The price, whatever it turns out to be, isn't just going to be a currency conversion minus any taxes we don't get stuck with. They'll set the price for what they think the market can bear. If I had to guess I'd say they're looking to make it an exclusive thing... think Vertigo Ti money.

The earlier GasGas non gas was more like the EM, a direct-drive unit. The motors in those run at low RPM when going slow, so they are quieter. The new geared format I think allows a different type of motor that has a higher RPM type of power delivery. Not sure what the technical and cost implications are.

The geared units do make more of an unpleasant kind of noise, however. It's not from the traditional clutch and transmission gears as those are pretty quiet. I think it is from the motor and perhaps a very geared down primary.
