preparing a KTM Adv 640 for a Rally

    Just found this thread!

    On mine I found it gets harder to find neutral when the oil is getting old, immediately corrected with a change!

    The neutral sensor is found behind the front sprocket cover and runs along with 2 oil lines and gets cooked if not routed just right! This can change how the electricity flows. It can permanently bake the strands and make the wire very brittle!

    The Tuareg Rally is over, the bike survived the 7 days. Just minor problems. I realized that it was too heavy for this kind of rally. When you drop it and have to pick it up 10-20 times a day in sand dunes... it feel really heavy. Most competitors had 450 enduro with big tanks.
