Just wondering if there are any Prescott area riders that would be interested in getting together for some rides? Thought that I would put it out there and see what happens.

Sounds like I'd fit right in! I'm in my fifties and have no interest in trying to keep up with the younger guys I ride with. I just let them get out front and let the settle and follow behind. :D

Thanks Chris, I actually joined up with this group about a month ago. I think cold weather is keeping the riding interest pretty low. I try to take advantage of the warm days when I'm not working. I'm sure it'll pick up in a few months. I have a few riding buddies but trying to get our schedules to line up is a challenge.

I have kids your age, so kind of like riding with your Dad. Prefer week days, less traffic. Old Tom 928-227-0578

That's how it is the the young guys I ride with... old enough to be their dad. I ride the week days as well for the same reason. It can get pretty crazy on the White Spar and same riding to Crown King.

Anyway I'm off work Monday was thinking of Campwood to Bagdad. It's been years since i've been out there. Taking the GS... the DRZ is too painful for that distance.

Don't let AZTom fool you. He is an old racer. He can keep up with just about anyone. Tom one of these days I want to make one of your rides to Laughlin.

    G'day Brian --

Another oldy here that rides out of Prescott. I try to ride with AZTom whenever we get the chance ... I'm still enough of a noob to just feel honored riding behind him and breathing his dust.

I'll be pretty much out of pocket until the end of January with some house renovations but should be ready to ride after that. Gimme a call (928-227-0697) or PM around then if you've got something in mind. I'll do likewise.

BTW, at the risk of maybe telling you something that you already know, if you run into mud between Camp Wood and Bagdad, suggest that you give real serious consideration to turning around. It can get mighty gooey in spots.:eek1

    Hi John,

I will definitely give you call once you get your house squared away. Some of the rides I have in mind will need to be in the spring when the stuff up high melts
and drys out, but I try to find stuff that gets me into warmer elevations.

Thanks for the heads up on the mud, its been some time since I've ridden that area. Yeah, I don't push it when I'm by my self especially in remote areas.
