A rider in Tuscon encountered this last week. It looks like a Mojave Green to me.
Damn, that one is healthy.
I saw one on Mingus last year. As far as snakes go it was beautiful. Looked like a regular rattler with candy apple green tint
A little bragging time here as my 57 year old Daughter just finished her 5th full Iron Man Triathlon in Tempe AZ. She overcame a broken ankle in early Sept. & was second out of the water on the swim section in her age group. Proud Dad here!
Quite an accomplishment for any age. Looking at the results, she must be Margi, yes?
im down for this, where is this staging area?? sorry to to town
Yes Margi Stroh , Boise Idaho. Diagnosed 20 years ago with MS. It went into remission & enabled Her to start pursuing things she loves to do.
I read an article about her and another athlete that overcame cancer. Exceptional women!
I was going to meet you at the south end of Blake Ranch rd but Mo has to be back at the doctor's office at 1500 on Monday. She broke her wrist while riding her bicycle and now it's doctors and hospitals, at least for a bit. Anyhow, enjoy your ride. Looks like excellent weather, though a bit dusty.
Not good, hope the break is not a bad one. Catch you on the next one. Planning on completing the whole 700+ miles but we shall see?
As far as the broken wrist, it was pretty bad with the end of the radius being broken and needing both pins and a plate with the plate to be removed later. She had three surgeries on it last week.
On another note, are you riding the Peace Trail? At 700+ miles you got me curious since that is the distance of the PT. It is a trail that I hope to ride this spring or fall.
Sounds very bad. Don't think it's the PT trail? Day 1 to Laughlin. Day 2 from Laughlin across the Mojave Trail to Aiken Mine Rd to Kellbaker. Kellbaker to Kelso Dunes W to Crucero & S to Ludlow. East on old 66 to Klondike & N to a Powerline Rd & E back to Kellbaker. Cross Kellbaker & keep heading E cross old 66 & Sunflower Springs Rd & eventually hit I-40 & 95 & into Needles. Day 3 out Eagle Pass to the end make a left & head straight S/E to 95. Cross 95 & take powerline Rd to Parker Dam. Shea to Swansea & back across by Alamo Lake, Congress & home. Maybe, maybe not? That's why it's called adventure
Nice layout Tom I'll be ready for that one. I was going for a ride this morning (a warm up thing) on my 650, but i promised Jasper i'll finish his Christmas decoration lights this w/e, so much for the warm up ride. I was thinking about the third week of April for the R.Run if it's agreeable by all riders. The reason why I picked this date is because Aaron wanted to join us but he's going to the Chili Cookout up in CK, it suppose to take place in early April (they don't know the exact date yet). So i was thinking 3rd week of April is a safe assumption. Your thoughts?? Plus i want your take on day 2, I was thinking pre-run the trail from Goffs Rd all the way to Kelbaker rd going through Foshay Pass. It's the most diverse straight 33 miles I have ever rode (the one that end with bunch of roller coasters, where Tom had a flat tire on his 530) what u say??

This is the only pic that doesn't post sideways WTF. Thanks for invite 10K, I had a blast hammering down the 181. Only pissed off one person... I call that a good day!
Nice pic. You didn't see any upside down 4X's today, did you?
How many went? How were the roads? Was anyone else out there?
5 riders, there were a few rocks here & there , no one else at the ruins
