(34-27) Working on a streak of one with a little action after Tex gets plunked again. Both benches and the bullpen cleared for this one.

(36-28) Great effort by Burnett(7.2 innings & 8 K's) and the Pen, but zero run support. No one is hitting .300. Rangers tonight @ 7:05pm.

(38-28) Another offensive display that they can hopefully keep up. Looking for the sweep today at 1:05pm. Interleague starts tomorrow with the Cubs & Reds on the road and then Rockies & Brewers at home.

Anyone know what the formula for ultimate baseball success is? Somebody once told me that it was pitching, defense, and the ability to manufacture runs when needed. If that's the case, how can the Yankees possibly lose? All the way, Baby!

(39-28) SWEEP! Brett Gardiner with the RBI walk off single in the 12 frame. Let's keep the momentum going in Chicago & Cincinnati.

(39-29) Could not get past the Cubbies. Hopefully we will regroup for tomorrow. Good pitching, defense, and timely hits on the part of Chicago.

(40-29) Yanks go on to win despite poor base running from A-Rod & Burnett. One hell of a play at the plate with a Gardiner throw from left and Martin tagging out Pena in a violent collision. Play of the game IMO. Next game at 8:05 tonight.

(41-29) Two of three from the Cubs. Now on to Cincinnati. Swisher breaks the tie with a 3-run shot in the 8th.

(42-29) Great job by Ivan Nova through eight frames. Why are we seeing a rash of baserunning mistakes lately?

In a recent dream, I hobbled through Manhattan, limping on a conspicuously iron knee. Nobody noticed that, either. ILNY.

because girardi likes to play national league style small ball and manufacture runs even when it makes no sense whatsoever. that and some folks- i'm looking at you gardner and posada- are just bad baserunners.

(43-30) 2 of 3 against the Reds. The Rockies are in town tonight. Game at 7:05pm. Giambi should get a good ovation from the New York Crowd.

(43-31) Rockies come away with the win 4-2 in the Bronx. Little run support and again poor base running by A-Rod to get doubled of at second. Burnett did not pitch that bad. Next game at 1:05pm today.
