Man, that's maddening Hayduke. I just tried your video code about eight times, modifying the string variables a little each time, and it keeps autoplaying.

I have a SmugMug account and my videos aren't autoplaying. I'll keep messing with it.

No kidding! Also the fact that I can't embed because of it is maddening. :cry I hope they can figure out a fix soon.

    Yep,

    I'm experiencing this too.

    Example:

This is an older one. Maybe it won't auto play...

Redline pointed out if the embed has s=a at the start of the code (flashVars="s=a ) it will auto play. For the ones that are auto palying, where are you getting the embed codes from? The gallery or at the end of another embedded video? Linkys if you can to a couple of galleries...

    Okay, here's the problem:

I was clicking on the video and watching it in SmugMug. Then, when the movie was over, I would snag the embed code from the share button on the movie. This will get you a movie that autoplays.

The way to get a movie that does not autoplay is to:

Click the thumbnail of the movie you are interested in posting so that it's selected but isn't running.

Then click on the "share" button at the upper right of the screen.

Select the "Get a Link" menu item.

    Click the "Embedable Link" tab.

Then click the copy button in "Video Embed" next to the video size you want.

Then just paste the code into your post.

This will get you a video that does not autoplay.

Thank you. That's a great run around.

What threw me was this used to work just fine then suddenly it didn't: "I was clicking on the video and watching it in SmugMug. Then, when the movie was over, I would snag the embed code from the share button on the movie."

I'll try the new method out.

Ok. Got it to work. Thank you!

Just to clarify for anyone else you still need to go through these steps from Shog's 'how to' thread before pasting it.

"Next, if the screen you type on looks like this (gray background) then click the (a/A) as shown here to change the edit mode.

Then just paste what you copied.

You'll know you have the whole thing when you see ( < object ) at the front and ( < / object > ) at the end."

Alright. The videos will now post without 'autoplaying'. Anyone else having issues with them 'stalling' at 00:01? :ear Obviously, I am or I wouldn't be here.:1drink

I can't for the life of me figure this out. The new method uses iframes. Doesn't work like yall have described. Any help?

I can get this "forums" version but all it does is generate an image link, not embed anything.
