I'm going to be nosy.... Where, what was list price, and what did it cost out the door, minus taxes? I'll be doing the same thing in May, and am curious the bargaining power I'll have. Feel free to ignore or PM me if you aren't comfortable, just trying to do my due diligence. And that's the color combo I'll be doing as well. Love it!

Hell Yeah!!! Turnitonagain. You're gonna love it. I've had mine for a month and I can't ride it enough. F*#KING blast to ride.

Tom C. I got mine for $12999 here in California. Tax, title, license brought it up to $14,800 or something like that. The shop I bought it from had it listed at $15,500. I felt like I got a pretty good deal so I took the $2500 in savings and got some Zega Pro 38 liter panniers, Blackdog skidplate and sidestand relocator, and some TKC 80s. Spent a day putting all the shit on the bike and haven't ridden it since. It looks so badass sitting in my garage though.

Thanks, but I've got 4 blue '12s within 400 miles, and 2 of them are listed with out the door prices cheaper than that. With my luck they'll be gone by May, but who knows... :D

    OP, again, beautiful ride!

one more question... the bike is in my basement... I'm storing it now as it's winter up here in Canada lol... umm should I leave it on the sidestand or centre-stand it? I tried centre - standing it on Tiles and it's pretty hard to do :p..... but I plan on leaving it there for another few more months... will it be okay on its sidestand rather then centre?

yes, just don't let it fall over. don't know if you mentioned a side-stand re locator or not. you need one, but there is no problem leaving it on the side stand indefinitely. just shut off the fuel at each petcock, add something to keep the gas from going bad, and not worry about it.

the center stand can be a bitch at first but once you get it, you will be ok. use the back passenger handles to help lift the back while standing on the center stand. you should be able to get it up.....sorry, had to say it :D... and this allows for a more confident stand, and greater ease of access to the bike for maintenance.

welcome aboard. i just got mine a little over a month ago and have been reading everything i can. i'm sure you will be too, especially since you cant ride. i remember those days, that's why i live in arizona now. :jkam

I use the passenger foot peg bracket as a handle to pull the bike back.

I shift the bike into neutral, then as the others said,, lift on the rear grab handle.
It takes more effort to get it up on the center stand than other bikes I have owned.
It'll get easier to do once you get the hang of it.

    WJR

Seriously consider the side stand relocation modification.
