I'll be staging at Jawbone or Palmdale and riding up from there. Gas range from Jawbone 110-130 miles depending on what we do.
Plan to ride all the fun single track I know. Lunch on the trail
Bike and rider in good shape. I'll be carrying an extra gallon of gas plus the big tank on my XR.
    PM me for more details.

Make sure to keep the speeds down on the roads near the cabins off Jawbone Canyon Road and Piute Mountain Road. A lot of the full time residents are pushing very hard to get the mountain closed to OHV use.
As someone who spent over 15 years cutting in the most bitchen single track in the west it'd be a shame to see it close.
Please pass this info onto the other riders who ride the area, a few of the local, somewhat new (within the last 5 years) aren't helping the situation either, but lets see if we can do our part to ensure this area stays open.

1st time ive heard that:huh i believe its quite the opposite :clap things have been getting opened w/the help of the stewards of the sequioa's :lol3
we ALWAYS respect home owners and property owners, not to mention hikers and horse people!
it would be REAL hard to close that place, there is 200+ miles of ST up there!
sos has been doing a great job up there keeping everything in order!
we always lay down the law to new riders in our group: no skidding/ no roosting, no digging holes and no squiding, but some goons just dont get it and think it cool to act like a teenager:rofl

I use a trials tire, never dig holes, skid or tear up the trail. Especially when I ride The Pacific Crest Trail.

Chris has done a great job, and i truly do not believe it would be the way it is at the moment without his work! I put years of my life maintaining, cutting in, and clearing trails there long before it become as known as it is now. Lots of the legal marked trails that existing there are trails that were cut in by myself and the group of people I rode with.
I make it down there a few times a year to enjoy it, I heard some of my info about the full time residents from a property owner that was at the KTM rally in Bend this last September.
