Thank you so much for this brilliant report. I have really enjoyed the photos, and if my internet gets going I will watch that video of yours on digging out. (I love plowing snow, so I will get an extra kick out of that...)

Just to juxtapose your experience with my own. I am in Afghanistan right now, and this past week we have gotten temperatures in and around 50c (120F)

It is amazing to think that someone out there is getting as cold as you are right now, when I am as hot as I am right now.

Well enjoy your trip, and thanks much for sharing the video.

    Cheers
    Brian

Great thread mate, love the vids and can't wait for the build thread for the bike. Looks like you've got some fantastic kit there. Maybe your mum could make a start just to get things fired up 😆😆😆 anyway stay safe and keep them pics coming.

Been very busy the last couple of weeks with annual maintenance and repairs to one of the powerhouse generators.
One job we were not looking forward to was replacing the broken window in the snow groomer. After some TLC and a full service things got a little interesting.
    Some pictures of the fun???

Looks like a bit of fun, no idea if you're still down there. I'm guessing they don't need rope access techs in that neck of the woods do they?

    Hi Guys,

Sorry I have not posted on here for a long time. The last couple of months have been very busy, with work out in the field and lately getting the station ready for the new group that will look after it for the next 12 months. I am currently waiting for the ship to arrive that will resupply the station and take me back to Australia. I thought I would post some final pictures for a scientific trip I did that traversed the Rauer Island group and the Sorsdal Glasier.

Absolutely fantastic! Thanks for sharing. Antarctica is so foreign and beautiful. Your pictures and story are inspiring. How do I get a job down there?! By the way, that's a nice moto you have waiting back home for ya. I'm ordering a 2014 model from my local dealer as soon as they are announced here. Won't see it until around March though. Look forward to more from the REAL SOUTH. Be safe down there!

Great Report from Antarctica. I was there this time last year. Hard to describe to someone who has not been there. You show it quite well.

Have a great ride to South America. You should be well prepared for the winds of Tierra del Fuego. Calm when I was there but not usually. Ride Safe.
