I just bought a nav5. VERY strange problem. When I copy and paste mp3 songs (created in iTunes) from iTunes, they play fine. When I copy mp3 podcasts in iTunes or audiobooks in mp3 format . . They playback super fast. I called garmin and they have never heard of it, nor did he even know what a podcast was.

Can anyone confirm they have actually copied over and played a podcast and it's worked correctly?

If so I will exchange the unit. If it's a software flaw, then could be a longer term thing and as podcasts are super important to me, might rethink. Works fine on my old zumo.

What type of podcasts do you listen to while riding?

    Mostly NPR .

As an update. Someone on the GPS forum informed me it was a known issue . .at least for him . . and he found a temporary workaround until a fix is made (if ever!). I'll report it formally.
