so i picked up this CT1 for $100. it's got everything except street legalizing stuff. hasn't run in years. the counter sprocket looks fudged so i'm thinking that's when they put it away. i just want the bike to run nice and reliably as a light trail bike. the two big things are: -is it necessary/worth it to open up the engine? it turns over without protest. there was a little water and a little oil in the case. i don't know much about two strokes so i don't know how the valving works and if it needs attention as a matter of course. -should i scrap the auto oiling system and just mix the fuel? this sounds a lot easier to me and more reliable... other things: -is it worth it to replace the ignition system with a solid state system? -is it worth it to mess with the suspension or will it suck no matter what? i'm digging this old bike! THANKS!
