Went for a ride the other day, realized I kind of missed having a 2 wheeled KLR. I’m a brake hose away from being able to detach my sidecar on a whim.

Now, obviously I’m not talking about once per week putting it on or off, but maybe just a few times per year? Bike is still decently set up for riding without a hack, suspension might just be a bit stiff.

Easy way to do this without bleeding brakes or building some dual pedal contraption? Surely I’m not the first one to think of this?

Thanks. Bike is an 09 KLR, brakes are just 2 lines coming out of the stock rear master cylinder.

Those are available at Florida sidecar parts and there's a set on ebay too. Happy soloing!

Another way to do it is a second master cylimder on the sidecar frame with either a separate pedal or linkage to the existing pedal. The lines never get disconnected. A little more work initially but way easier to remove and put back. On
