Mark's rides intentionally didn't have the party rally feel. Always like just a bunch of old friends just catching up. More calm and enjoyable than party.

I just saw this. Very sad. I only had the opportunity to interact with him once, during Osprey's Altersaur ride a few years ago. He was a mild-mannered wise man, and I'm sorry to hear he's gone.

I'm still trying to wrap my head and my heart around this.... He was so kind and generous and I loved riding with him and I loved hanging out telling stories with him. Pro Leisure Tour FOREVER!!!!! Here's a pic of him coming through the canyon towards Echo Park on a Dino Ride several years ago.... mark on echo park road (1 of 1)-L.jpg

FYI, for those who wanted something to remember Mark by, one of our members on the west slope is picking up riding gear this week. The estate liquidator is coming in on Tuesday to dispose of the remaining items.

A family member set aside a box of personal items for me to pick up Friday. I can’t really request any specific gear or anything. I will get details on when and where the liquidation is being held.

    Hi Pat,

Did you ever get any particulars on the estate liquidation of Mark's assets/riding gear/camping gear etc? I snooped around the web but couldn't find anything.
    Thanks, Rob

    Hey Rob,

I drove to Montrose last Friday. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication between the family and the home owner. There was no key for me to get into the storage area. Mark's family is now back in Florida. The next time they're in Montrose, I'm not. As soon as I have anything in hand, I'll let you know.

FYI, Mark's son, Grayson, is autistic. His Mother said he has good days and bad dealing with his father's death. I thought it might be very healing and helpful for Grayson to know how wonderful his Dad was with us. Grayson's Mom liked the idea. I intend to create a photo album and write Grayson a letter telling him about the wonderful man his Dad was. I plan on copy/pasting some of the comments in this thread. If any of you thick headed, dirty, moto riding hooligans want to include a sentiment or photos in my letter, please email me pat@advwoman.com. If you can have this to me by Tuesday January 16, I would appreciate it. I told Mom I would send the letter and photos to her and she could determine if and when was a good time for her son.

I met Mark on the Dino ride in 2014. It was my first organized ride in Colorado and he was one of the first people to come up and start up a conversation. Really made me feel welcome and man did he have great stories. A real loss for our moto community. Godspeed Mark.

Pat, I'm in Montrose a lot. I never met Graywolf, but he seemed like someone I would have enjoyed being in his company. Let me know if I can help round up stuff, relay, ship, whatever. Glad to help if possible.

You've got an email coming from me and thank you for this. Once we're gone, it's the folks remaining who need to be consoled and whatever gets them back into living is now important.

Edit: I found my photos and I know what you look like......:rofl

    HEY ALL, :wave

There is going to be an estate sale this weekend in Montrose, CO to liquidate Mark Steur's (Gray Wolf) remaining possessions.

I was told that the company doing this sale ............ would soon have some photos up showing what they have of his to sell.

Here's a link to their ad for the sale: http://reliableestatesales.net

I'm going to attend and hope to find that perfect Gray Wolf momento. :D

It's kind of sad seeing someone's earthly possessions reduced to an estate sale. When I go if the wife is still around I doubt it'll be any better.
