I've decided to cobble something together from bits.
What is unknown to me, is whether the center fairing section (part that holds the instruments) from GS and GSPD models is interchangeable. If someone knows the answer, the info would really help.

    Thanks.

The GS's have a speedo and Tach of equal size, the earlier GSPD's don't have the same size tach

Here's the later GSPD and GS version:

    And the earlier version:

Thank you. That much I did know already.
What I'm after is whether the late GS side fairings will mate to an early GSPD center nacselle.
To my eye, the parts look interchangeable.

Guess I could have read your question all the way huh? :lol3

I think the answer is yes... check the part numbers of those two yet?

I did. The early console is of couse a different PN, but all peripheral parts including roo bar appear identical..

Looks like I've just embarked on an expensive project.
If anyone has some of those bits gathering dust, do tell.
So far; I've collected the late side fairings for a GS.

I have a GS and a GS with PD fairing/tank sitting in the garage next to each other. As far as I can tell, the instrument holder is the exact same on both bikes. I measured the distance between the mounting points (lower left and right corner) and it matches.
