Things changed during production run of R1100X's (to my knowledge, which at one time was shown to be incomplelete): 1.) 10/97 Transmission input shaft bearings changed from a spring-preload system, to normal ball bearings. At ~50k, they may wobble and make the seal seep. Some don't ever show this, some do. 10/97 - on they fixed it. 2.) Instruments: Several changes. 3.) ABS offered on later models. Mine has it. It's nice.
