I have a skidplate set ready for David in Maine going out tomorrow morning.
Just got my skid plate and fat foot today. Install was easy and they both look great! Thanks Ernie!
Here is a picture of it installed.
Sent you an email via my Hotmail account - Look forward to doing business with you!
Thanks for posting the picture. Let me know if you would like the matching centerstand skidplate. I have them on hand ready to ship.
Just sent a skidplate set off to Kenny in New Zealand.
Thank you. Ernie
Another skidplate set off to Australia.
HI Ernie, sent you a PM. Hope I can get my hands on a set of these. Thanks.
Just made up a skidplate set for a GSA for Alex. It will go over to the Powdercoat shop Thursday for a satin black finish.
Do you have accessories in the pipeline for the GS-liquid cooled?
Sent you an email late last night after many hours of searching finally brought me to your pictures. Of course, the recommendation for 2HE came up within the first three results, but the match/configuration...that took a while. I'm the guy with the 05 1200GS and the old-style SW Mototech crashbars with the lower crossbar that interfaces with the stock bash plate. I'm not willing to replace the bars because they've been successfully tested (and because I'm not spending another $300+ on bars when I just did new brakes and new tires! Ouch!), so I had to find someone putting out a bash plate that would handle them. From your smugmug, it appears you're that guy!
Looking forward to hearing from you. Terrible irony is having brand new Mitas E-07 up front and E-09 in the back...and no working bash plate to go test the hell out of them! Noooo!
Have you come up with a skid plate for the new Liquid Cooled models?
Check your inbox, Ernie. Need plates for a Remus-equipped bike.
Edit- plates have been received and it's all I can do to not ditch outta my cubicle and go out to the parking lot to install them right now.
2HE, I'm long overdue in telling you that your plate has been awesome. As noted several posts above, you were the only option for a SW Mototech crashbar (old school) equipped 2005 R1200GS, and I'm glad for it. I've bashed the crap out of it as intended, and zero damage to the bike. Served me well, catapulting over rocks while riding the LA - Barstow - Vegas rally on Thanskgiving weekend.
So, thanks for a great product, thanks for speedy shipping, and thanks for cranking that sucker out on a Sunday!!
Thank you so much for the complement. It's good to hear that they have served you well. It really keeps me going.
Sorry I have not been hanging out on the forum much. I have been busy in the shop with orders and am getting my own airhead GS ready for a trip to Alaska this June.
I do have a centerstand skidplate and sidestand fatfoot available for the GSW. I also have a fatfoot available for the new GSAW
I'd like to get going on a engine skidplate as soon as I can get access to a bike for the R&D for a prototype.
Here's a couple of pictures of my new GSW skidplates and sidstand fatfoot.
Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org to order. 2HE
I'm headed out for the Iowa Moto Guzzi rally this morning and will be vending there for the weekend. 2HE
