In years past I always used to enjoy the thumping sound of my single. As we all know, you reach a ceiling as to how many horses you can get out of a single. If you take a close look at the R1200GS, both cylinders reach top dead centre at the same time. If you were to turn the cams on the one cylinder around by 360 degrees, both cylinders would get their power strokes at the same time. You would just have to get both spark plugs to fire simultaneously and the fuel injection like wise. Could you just imagine the torque on the power stroke. Any comments on what would need to be done for the ignition and fuel injection to work in that configuration? Any general comments?
