Figured I'd share this with the fellow GS enthusiasts. This is absolutely unnecessary, but totally worth it. Roll on wheelies on an Adventure?

Pretty much one of the baddest GSA's around....and it's at MAX BMW CT if you want to ride it.

2012 R1200GS Adventure with R1270 big bore kit, full Akrapovic Race Exhaust, and ECU race flash. We've dyno'd it and the results are..well..promising :deal

The pipes looks sweet... the video; there's a whole lotta smoke going on. :D

p.s. I'd be curious about the mileage range with the big bore kit.

Have you done any fuel mileage testing yet on this setup ??? I'm curious as to what kind of mpg during normal riding, including interstate.

Not yet, hoping to spend a few days on it over the next couple of weeks. It gets use now and then around the shop but nothing that would provide an accurate reading. Burnouts don't really help with mileage either, i don't think :lol3

With the exhaust, ecu flash, and 1270 kit its making about + 22hp over stock.

    Here's a link to costs/disclaimers/fun stuff:

    http://www.maxbmw.com/r1270/index.html

AND it is available for pre 2010 style motors as well.

Seriously...if you have ASC turned on, it's always kicking it. It's a lot more fun with it off :evil

Why? So we can act like every other douche bag on a rice rocket at a stop light? If you've taken the time to get an accurate HP reading, how come no MPG or torque figures. Seems kind of important selling point. I have no interest in burning my rear tire up at a stoplight to over compensate for my small penis ( I bought a 1200 GSA for that :) ), but if I can increase my MPG, I would be very interested so long as engine life isn't compromised.

The better question is "Why not?" If you have the coin and want to have some (more) fun on your GSA, it's the way to go! As far as fuel mileage, won't know until we really spend some extended time on the bike. Highway riding, back road riding, etc. But, it's a power package...not a fuel economy package...we have G650GS' for that :lol3

Seems like BMW already has a near package in the HP2. Curb pounds to actual Horse Power.

By suggesting a customer go look at G650GS because they are interested in knowing the MPG & the torque spec sounds a little short sighted.

This power package is already marketed to a level that most GSA owners just are not located in.
Will it sell, sure. But I doubt if we will see it on a tour to anywhere.....wait there is the Dariy Queen, just down the road.

So how much & when can I get on the waiting list?

All in good fun. Hoping to get MPG numbers over the next couple of weeks like I said.

No waiting list, just stop by...

What's the burnout technique considering the linked brakes? Are the brakes not used and the front is stopped against an object?

Works best with ABS and ASC (obviously) off, otherwise it'd probably be a little difficult!

Are the brakes still linked if ABS off? I know the rear can act independently but was under the impression that use of the front will link the rear.
