    Hey All,

I have read through a number of threads and just want to double check with you all. It looks like I am going to have Bob Warks hook me up with a Velorex 562 Cruiser sidecar. Anyone have any other suggestions or comments for a sidecar? Any comments on Bob? He is only about 2 1/2 - 3 hours away from me.

Before I take the plunge I also wanted to get opinions, comments, criticisms, etc. on the bike. I have a 1975 R90/6 that I am going to add the sidecar. I assume that it has enough torque/power/hp to drive the sidecar comfortably?

I plan on beefing up the suspension both front and rear. I haven't done much research on the suspension upgrade but I will start searching the threads soon. If anyone can point me to come helpful threads I would appreciate it.

    Thanks much,

    Chris

You will need a subframe I used a DMC front subframe and a Motovation rear frame clamp.

The 1980 and older airheads had a heavier flywheel which gives you more low end grunt (Torque) for pulling a sidecar.

You will be very happy with the BMW R90/6 little more grunt than my 750 and a high quality motorcycle for this setup. Plus I have looked at Bob Warks website and you are lucky to be close enough to have him set it up.

Keep us posted on your progress. Do you have a budgeted amount for this build???

What final drive are you runnin'? Might want to consider somethnig with a higher gear ratio than the standard 11:32 (from memory... did I get it right?).
My solo bike is a '76 R90/6 with (I think) an 11:37 final drive - torquey! :evil

I love the /6 - best damned bike they made, IMNSHO. :deal
