What i would love to grab is one of the green riding jackets you have on in the lastest adventure spec post. Is that in the works at all?

I'll be following his Dakar campaign for sure. And I ordered his support package which was made very easy by the Adventure Spec order page with easy Pay Pal redirect.

Go Lyndon, Go Big, Go For The Dakar MM Win!!!

Wow, it's been so hectic on the run up to Dakar, trying to ride to the start of the race from Alaska, film footage for Races to Places and organise a Dakar Rally remotely and new ways to share it. About 1000km to go to reach the start of the race, then I have to get Basil ready for his next adventure, retrieve Rex (race bike), do work on him and get all my gear shipped to South America and ready for the race. Oh, and film the whole thing.

I find myself with little time to post here, I'm sorry for that as I know I have many supporters on here but please, even if you don't have Facebook, my Facebook page is public and open to view without an account, like a web-site or personal blog. You can view daily updates here, save it in you favourites if you are interested www.facebook.com/lyndonposkittracing

Here's the latest news which I think is pretty exciting, especially for Dakar followers and supporters. Released today.....

Big News. I've been working with Adventure-Spec, the ASO (organisers of the Dakar), journalists and photographers to look at new ways to bring my Dakar to you, my followers. In return for all your support, you will be able to read interesting stuff about Races to Places and my Dakar effort through Tracks on-line magazine (see link below). To kick it all off, here is "The Race Issue" with some interesting pre-Dakar articles and information. I'm hoping to get some daily updates done before the race and then during the race you'll be able to fill your boots on information and updates here (all updates will be shared on my FB page here).

Also, we have agreed collectively (and contracts are in place!) to make a Races to Places special feature movie about my 2017 Dakar effort, that will be released after Dakar of course but something you can all look forward to. Best of all, it will be free to view! If you wish to support it and the Races to Places series you can do so through www.Patreon.com, search for Races to Places, producer is Adventure Spec (linky: https://www.patreon.com/user?u=3186891). You have my word I will do my part and I consider you all part of the team, if you can do a little bit to help, together we can make awesome media, thank you for your support. Lyndon

Also, for those that wish to become part of the team and purchase swag (stickers, t-shirts, jackets etc.) here is a reminder of the link to the place where that is all happening. Please remember this time, I am on the road so unable to manage all the package logistics and shipping myself, I have had to call on the help of Adventure Spec to do this for me. All proceeds go towards Races to Places, Dakar 2017 and the continuation of the release of free media.

Right, I have work to do but finally just want to say a massive thank you to everyone that has already supported this project and a huge thanks in advance to those that do so.

From Bolivia, I'll be back with more soon.

    Lyndon

Just a quick update to keep this thread alive

As most people know, Lyndon is busy over in South America racing Dakar at the moment - everything you need to know about his adventure is either on his FB page https://www.facebook.com/LyndonPoskittRacing/ or on his dedicated Dakar thread here http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/races-to-places-dakar-2017-with-lyndon-poskitt.1123058/page-24

Plenty of great photos and video footage including a slot on Red Bull's dedicated Dakar channel here (Lyndon starts about 7.30 in) https://www.redbull.tv/video/AP-1PYFC3JKD1W11/dakar-daily?playlist=AP-1PYFC3JKD1W11

Congrats Lyndon!! What an incredible journey. Cannot wait for all of that phootage of yours to show up.

Also, amazing effort to race, service your bike, poo on the road, and still give us all a totally new and deeper view from the Dakar... have a good 3 week sleep now, go on.

I can only imagine that the next big Races to Places project will be a 1 year round Africa, to get to the starting line of next year's Eco Race, with Basil, TO WIN IT :clap

    Cheers from Portugal!
