I am putting together a dirt oval car from an old Associated T2, decided to go with a Rockstar Makita theme for the body.

I always jsut found a windy hill to launch my 2M from. Only problem was landing it as it wouldn't want to land. Then there were the Red-Tailed hawks that started chasing it. Overshot the hill and ended up in a tree on the backside. Fire department helped with the extraction as they were already there. :lol3

    I'm sticking with powered flight.

Umm...got plenty, thanks, like a green, low-mileage army ambulance. Dirt cheap.

    Top that.
    :huh

A question about an R/C airplane fantasy I've harbored for years: has anyone ever been crazy/ambitious enough to build a flying R/C B-36? Is such a thing within the bounds of reason?

I'm discovering that what I consider the bounds of reason in RC planes is.... somewhat flexible. :uhoh

The Electric Scale forum never ceases to amaze me. I've seen a build thread on a 104" WS Zeppelin Straken R-7 running six motors, and there was Martin Hunter's big Russian monstrosity, I think it was the 1930's 10 motored Tupolev ANT 20..

    Here's the thread.. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=370403&highlight=Tupolev

Incredible scratchbuild by Martin, I'm totally in awe, and he and his wife lived in a tiny house.

I'm sorry -- this only got two or three replies in this thread?!

This is the coolest fucking thing I've ever seen.

I can not imagine the balls needed to to put that on a runway and fire it up. All that time and work.
    Wow is right...

Probably last video highlights of the big Cheesy Poof.
It's slow, boring, self indulgent, and unless you've built something from scratch and launched it; waaaay too long. :lol3

But it was very fun, very rewarding, and has given me the confidence to move on to bigger and better things.
