I got one of these yesterday. It's a 48" RC Factory EPP SBach profile. I assembled it last night and this morning and maidened it this afternoon.

This isn't me but a guy on the RCgroups forum who helped me decide to get it. I love it!

Picked up one of those RTF helis at Target the other day and thinking of getting back into the hobby. I used to fly sailplanes 20+ years ago.

Im mostle interested in indoor helis and electric sailplanes. Any good forums or newbie guides you could recommend would be appreciated.

I really like building models are there indoor heli kits? Everything seems to be RTF or ARF.

    Thanks,
    Hugh

Look at Discus Launch Gliders (DLG). Fun, engaging and keep you busy. Had a 6.5 and 7 minute flight Sunday morning with just a toss.

I was off sick for the past two weeks....got to the point where I felt better, but still not good enough to go to work....so I shopped online....bad.

Bought a new FMS P-51B mustang....should be here by the end of the week. First plane with retracts....hope they hold up well on the crap field I fly from.

I'm at The Palms in Vegas for a work seminar. I almost brought the Traxxas 1SQ quad but figured I'd be too busy to fly. I will fly my new RCF SBach on Sunday when I get home, weather permitting. I'll get the Go Pro on it for some video.

I just got a similiar one for $30.00 from XHeli. It's a 4ch fixed pitch.

    http://www.xheli.com/27h-9958-miniheli-purple.html

I can hover, go side to side and fwd/backward, but as soon as I drop the nose and try to 'fly', it all goes to shit and feels counter-intuitive.

Practice, and more practice ... on the plus side, this unit is really durable and stable (by beginner/noob standards)

Darn you guys. I tried to resist. Came home with a micro F4U from parkzone and a Spektrum D6i. I'm rationalizing it on supporting the local small biz. And like that I'm back in after years.
I know the D6i is a little overkill but after looking around and talking with my students I have plans to get into the DIY quad coptering and drone work. Sold it to the wife as: safer house inspection of the roof. With a roll of the eyes she said as long as at some point we'll use one for pool parties. Don't some of you build quads?
    Thanks
    Ryan

My new to me MCPx (also used) came yesterday. Didn't take me long to lose a rotor linkage so I can't play again till Monday... :cry

Although mine is the V2 and has been converted to all brushless. Talk about a hyper little thing!!!
