Just saw on Fox News that there was a large land slide on Whidbey Island. Have you heard?

I wrapped up my time in the south Island staying with Yvonne and Ken. They were wonderful hosts and have been following along since I met Dick and Diana in Chile! Thanks for the wonderful Dinner, Conversations and place to sleep!!
Really enjoyed our time together :wave

They even pulled the car out of the garage to put my bike it :D

Wednesday AM I met up with Mike and His dad Dale for a cup of coffee in Picton. They are doing a NZ tour and it was great to meet them!! :wave
Ride Safe! Sent them off to French Pass.... another great day to ride!

Took a short ride with them before I needed to get back to the ferry to Wellington.

Picton is really a lovely little town.

Rolled onto the ferry. Parked and strapped down my bike.

Then enjoyed the 3 hour ride across the bay and straights to Wellington!

Have developed a bit of a clicking noise from the rear of the bike, and cannot figure it out. Fortunately Ken got ahold of the BMW guys in Wellington and I will take it in this AM to try and figure it out. Hopefully it is nothing serious :deal

** Since I pulled the fuel pump (Christchurch) for a look, I have not had any starting issues so maybe my messing with the fuel filter solved the issue? But we will see how the next week of riding goes!

Replaced chain and sprockets and the noise is gone. Mechanic said the chain was really bad.... Guess the dust, salt water etc took it's toll.

Wallet is lighter but I am good to ride!

    Sorry I missed you.

Started my day in Wellington enjoying a cup of coffee with Ken and Shirley! Great start!

Then Ken showed me out to Motomart BMW so that Gareth could look at the bike and figure out the noise. Unfortunately my camera battery was dead, so i could not get any photos. :deal

Arrived at 9am. Gareth the service Manager was great!! They got the bike right into a mechanic and decided that I really needed a new chain, and sprockets. so they jumped on finding the parts and getting me back on the road.

Was back on the road, and all the noise was gone. :clap Relief to not be thinking it was something worse!

Thanks Gareth and Robert for getting me in and out quickly before a holiday weekend! :clap :clap would certainly recommend these guys!

Then the rest of the afternoon checking out New Zealand Politics! Took a tour of Parliament buildings including the Executive Building nicknamed the "beehive"

    and the Parliamentary Library

Then was in the Gallery to watch the afternoon questions of the House of Representatives. Which was an interesting experience to see the questions and the answering....

The evening was spent with Ken and Shirley's family. which was a wonderful experience! :wave Thanks for the wonderful time in Wellington!!

Good Friday is today, so I will ride north and east to see the area and also head around the East Cape tomorrow! Should be good riding and sights along the way!

New Zealand has a holiday weekend for Easter, so things are closed down on Good Friday.

My Bike is ready with a new chain and sprocket. Looks gold plated :lol3

Ken rode with me out of Wellington and up the east coast for the morning before sending me off on my own heading north!

    Some Sun breaking through.

Riding HWy 2 north out of town is a nice ride!

The clouds clear and it is some more NZ sunshine ahead!

As we got off the main roads, we had to wait for a sheep herd to pass :lol3 Ahhh NZ

And along the ride we stopped here....

I pronounced it to myself and in my head it sounds like i was spot on :norton no problem.

I like that you include a pic of the story behind Radioman! If not i would need to google it and would be lots of typing to get that name right. Even if i van pronounce it (to myself) i would not be able o spell it:D
Love folloving you around. Keep it up please.
