Rainbow Falls is maybe, no F'n way the Rainbow Trail (RBT) is like 717. :lol3

There is a BIG difference between the Rainbow Falls area and the Rainbow Trail. RBT has baby heads - lots of baby heads. If you have stiff suspenders, they will chew you up after riding them all day.

Thanks guys! Rick - will watch the vid once I get home.

Perhaps the guy meant rainbow falls...definitely sd Rainbow Trail. Maybe he doesnt know the difference. I didnt think that type terrain would be way down there but wanted confirm.

Does anybody have a GPS track of the trail? I'm interested in what the high and low altitudes are and looking at the map I have is a pain. Via the map, it looks like the high point is up by Poncha at around 10k, but generally, it looks like it runs, at least north of Hayden, at around 8800-9k.

The map is a pain to follow due to scale, so any help is appreciated. If ya have a track you could share that would be a bonus.

    Thanks!

I have the tracks of all that we did. The top 65ish or so miles. I took a quick look at the elevation plot. The majority of the trail is 8500-9500 peaking just over 10k and dropping into the hi 7k. I think the 10k is between hwy285 and Methodist mtn, but I dont know for sure. I will pull the tracks off my gps when I get back in town next week if you still want em.

Thanks BGG. The main thing was the altitude for jetting purposes. I don't imagine we'll get lost, so I'm good on the tracks. Sure appreciate you taking a look at the elevations!
