    Hello everyone,

I'm planning on doing the Rally Albania in 2017, wondering if anyone else is considering participate in this rally and see if we can share costs getting there.

    Happy new year :)

I'm very tentatively considering it - I'm determined to do my first rally this year. Where are you based, and do you have an outline plan / idea of what you have in mind? I'm based near Munich, but British...

    Hi mate,

I'm Galician but based in the South of Spain (close to Gibraltar). This is going to be the first rally for me too, so no plan whatsoever.

    Hi moep.

    Yes, I am already registered.
I am based in Spain but exists the possibility of being relocated to Western Austria (~200Km from Munich), that would be perfect to team up :). I will know something in the next week.
What bike would you be riding?

Hey all. Sorry, it seems I don't get email notification when a post is made here, anyway...

I'm not registered for it. From a timing perspective, I don't think I can do it this year. I'm very tempted by the Serres Rally instead though. I ride a KTM 350 EXC-F...

Moep - what are you riding and where do you ride?

Actually, this does look like a possibility. Who's got what type of vehicle for transport? Also, do you plan to do your own spannering or get someone to do it for you?

I'm riding an AJP PR5 250. The autonomy of this bike is ~150 Km, very tight I think; few choices for aftermarket tanks, perhaps I could fit an universal one... an alternative is using something like this: http://flyingbrick.co.za/product/desert-fox-5l-fuel-cell/

I don't have a van, I could rent one to travel from home to M√ľnchen (either from Spain or Austria, depending on where I am). And from there, if you have a van/trailer, share the transport paying the costs of course.
I think that's the best option given that no rental company would allow driving the vehicle into Albania :(. Actually I found one, but is located in Cangas.

No assistance so far but trying to convince some friends :). We can always hire shared support, what do you think?

Is there any moto train from Portugal to Germany? Get the bike on, get some sleep and organise yourself with rest of the inmates here?

Can you comment on the AJP quality and are you pleased with the bike?

    Enjoy the race ;)

No moto train in Spain or Portugal :(. The closest is Narbonne in South France, but I think they also discontinued the connection with Germany.

I am very happy with the PR5. It is a very simple bike to work on, the power is more than enough for my skills and it feels very light.

    I'll do! Thank you :D

That's shame regarding the train !

Some of Croatian inmates will be in Albania too, albeit on a 950 KTM ;)

Thanks for the info about the bike, it looks like it's easy to work on.

    cheers

the email notification ended in my spam folder...

i would start either with my Xchallenge or a DRZ400 and would do my own spannering
I got a Van and also a biketrailer
but I'm not yet 100% sure if it's going to happen for me...

    Fantastic natyroxinc.

Finally I am moving to Austria (Vorarlberg) in April, which is good because I am 2 hours away from Munich but not sure what is going to happen with my holidays :doh

choutos, does it have to be the Rally Albania? What about Serres at the end of August? That gives you more time to figure out your holiday situation...

Ignore that, of course you've already paid the entry...

Albania is still not out of the question for me, but I've a few things that I need to sort before then.
