    Hi All,

    I've now cleared the order backlog (about 45 sets of Tank Guards shipped!) so if you order any of my products you'll only have to wait 1 week maximum before shipping. I'll be keeping a few of each item in stock so the leadtime will be even shorter in most cases.

    For now still PM me or contact me via my website if you want to order but I'll soon be updating the website so you can order them online.

    Cheers,
    Michael

    Thanks to rjf for the loan of his KTM 640 Rear Rally Tanks, I'm going to try to make a copy of them in carbon/Kevlar, it's a pretty complicated shape so might be a little tricky.

    If all goes well I'll be looking for someone with a 640 in the next few months so that I can adapt the tanks to fit a standard subframe.

    Cheers,
    Michael

    I am finally getting around to installing the tank guards.
    Any updated tips on installing them or what adhesive to use?

    Cheers

    There's a bit of info on the 1st post of this thread but I'd recomend a polyurethane based adhesive, I use Sikaflex 227 but you can also use somehting like this;

    http://www.doitbest.com/Adhesives+and+caulk-Surehold-model-360-doitbest-sku-353209.dib

    Just run a bead around all the edges and maybe a few through the centre.

    Michael

    Thanks Michael;
    I picked up some polyurethane Dap on the way home from work along with a bargain on some Irwin Quick Grip clamps.
    Tomorrow I will be gluing!

    Below is a quote from this excellent thread in the Australian section of the build of the mighty KLX700R for the Condo 750 rally, in case any one missed it.

    The fairing was built by Rally Raid Engineering :evil

    Nice work on the fairing Michael!

    The Kawa looks really beautifull :clap . I wonder how can you bulit some multi purpose rear tanks that would adapt to most bikes so that you do not have to have different designs... :ear

    Keep up the good work and don't forget the 640 Advs :D

    Till later,
    D.
