I obviously won't be racing BRS, but I might come volunteer if y'all would take me in. The volunteers on stage seriously helped out tremendously. They got me off the stage safely, recovered and stored my bike, helped load it, and checked up on me in the hospital. It's time to pay that forward.

No MS Contin is the best medicine, then Dilaudid, then humor.

    Voted :thumbup

And registered for BRS yesterday. The DRZ looks like it's been through WWII so I have some work to do.

Wow, what a great weekend! I really enjoyed hanging out and rallying with all the riders and crew at the rally. From what I can tell, racing motorcycles really doesn't get much better than that. Awesome competition where you are free to push to the limit and beyond.

Brian - sorry your first rally ended after a few stages. Heal up quick and I hope to see you at another rally down at some point.

Thanks again to Braden for setting up the house and Jonathan, Dan, and Rebecca for the pit support.

Now I can't stop thinking about trying out Black River Stages...

So I finally made it home yesterday. It was a pretty painful car ride home. Not nearly as bad as the car ride from WV to Harrisonburg, but none the less, not pleasent. My three biggest goals for the next couple of days is to:

    1. Get cleaned up. I still haven't been able to bathe since before the race. Gross!!!:puke1

    2. Get the negative side effects of the hospital treatment under control. None of the doctors or nurses seemed to care much when I told them I was allergic to tape. The first bandage they used on my incision was this massive self sticking foam thing. I've had a bad skin reaction to it, and now my back and underarm is covered in uncomfortable blisters.

    3. The bike is here, I just need to get it unloaded. Maybe some local ADV guys can help with that.

I canceled my BRS reservation. But, depending on how the shoulder is doing, I might come volunteer.

Tom, where on FB were you getting those pictures. Also, why was Gage hit with so many penalty minutes?

Gage might have gotten a little carried away when leaving the Parc Expose, I think someone told him to put his beer down and get his bike outta there and he did so in a.....agressive?....manner.

Check out some great shots from Jordan Apgar here:

Great rally! Just caught up on this thread. :)

Note to all, you can sign up to volunteer in the same account that you use to sign up to go racing. It's the home tab when you first get in. :)

    Cheers!

Here's a link to the official place for NASA Rally photos. I'm sure more pics will find their way here in the coming weeks so check back periodically.

Riders should have gotten a password to post pics. Check the e-mail you have on file with NASA for the details and post up whatever your friends/crew may have captured.

Anders, please pass along to the RWV people my thanks for all of the unplanned support. The crew/sweep/volunteers did a fantastic job handling my little excursion. I can't thank everyone enough.

Ha! I've got some great X-rays, hospital food shots (how does a hospital expect a one armed person to eat a sloppy joe?), oversized nurses in undersized scrubs....I wonder if they want any of those? :clap

Hahaha! You and Braden didn't get the memo. This was a KTM event. So you two need to dig up video of these non KTMs passing a KTM. It's not like we weren't fish in a barrel to the DRz

I like the liitle shout at 5:18 where that bump in the sweeping right hander tries to bounce you into the ditch. Suprised the shit out of me last year too. The muck in that ditch wasn't 3 feet deep then. I slowed way down this year because the Honda would need a wrecker to pull it from that slop.

I doubt anyone is still following since the dust has settled but here are a few for the archives....:freaky

Low Water Bridge was probably my favorite stage of the race. 10mpg but 100 smiles per mile!

    Here's the gps data.

Here's the Hill Climb video for those who wonder how a street bike with 50/50knobby tires grips on pavement. I could feel the weight of this thing whe trying to pull the last couple straights with steep grade.

I want to start a Black River Stages thread but the last guy to start a RallyMoto thread ended up getting pretty banged up. Someone else start it
