    Indeed :)

So far I've always been hoping for those darn KTM's to stop from finishing, now HRC will get all my attention and voodoo charm :evil

    Poor Helder though :cry

PRZYGONSKI (spell check?) got a start time (08.48u) this AM but hasnt made CP1 yet, any insight?

Apparently van Zonsbeek (unknown dutch rider, been to Dakar a few times as the onboard truck mechanic) made the start this AM but after a lot of trouble yesterday now is out of today as well. Permanent it seems, so probably technical.

A friend brought a gal to a beach house I was renting (way back when) and while sitting at the bar having a drink I noticed her Zippo was engraved "POCZEKAJ."

    I asked, "What's a Pock-Ze-Kaj?"

    "My last name (pronounced Po-Check-I)."

    :dunno

Pzygonski got food poisoning maybe? He has very good support and is normally up there in the top 5-15. Cant think it would have been a mechanical on the older KTM?

Darn the Brodo is very noticably absent, isn't he? :cry

Don't worry fella's... he's with us here in spirit. :clap

And guess work... whaddya mean guess work...? :lol3

Brodo's timekeeping practices were the closest thing to mathematical voodoo that you will ever come to...!? :rofl

He was the bloke responsible for ETA times at CP's that were before the field even started. The only guy who ever successfully proved that the sum total of consecutive stage times; 1 hour 43 minutes and 2 hours 57 minutes was 4 hours even! :lol3 hence the term "Brodo-math".

But he was an enthusiastic, knowlegable and thoroughly entertaining freind. We are lucky to have had him as an f5 collegue that's for sure. Ride on Brodo... ride on. :thumb

Well said troy... I remember when I asked him about the voodoo math science and he looked at me with almost empty eyes and said: ''Well... I just have a feeling :D '' ...

Anybody know what on earth happened to that Honda? :ear

Done some Google Earth stuff and created a track for stage 3 from the map. Some japanese/austrians must be doing the same thing right now :) This is nothing fancy like Hogwild or Bluebull's, but I believe it may be accurate enogh to have a good idea of the terrain. Have fun looking it in Google Earth and don't forget to see the Panoramio pics along the way.

The terrain is amazing - Lake Iriki (to the West of tomorrow's stage is where we must look for new speed records and Erg Chegaga will provide de dunes (once did a crossing there with an 1150 and it certainly left memories:D ).

When CP's kms will be known it'll be easy to place them. Download here

Helder had much better results when he built his own bikes and ran in a semi privateer team. I feel bad for him as his "factory dream ride" keeps leaving him on the side of the track.

No surprise to see the alien doing well

Awesome result for your young Sam :clap

On a cell so can't contribute but appreciating the updates everyone :thumb
