I think it's Helder's day (out of the two of them) on the basis he should have started before Sam - long way to go though, but as sort of predicted Barreda is flying, just hope he stays aboard!:1drink

I have layered this image on Google Earth. It's not Hogwild magic, thus not completely accurate but it gives an idea and can help those betting on CP locations :D . Also not sure if it'll work on every computer as max image layer size on Gearth seems to depend on hardware :scratch

Anyway, if you wanna try it download here

    Beginners luck???

It was 83.8 kmh to be exact. Looks like Barreda pulled 2:29 on Rodrigues between the last checkpoint and the finish. Pretty impressive.

And made 1:05 on Coma in the same stretch.

It's the old artillery school of thought... toss enough cannonballs out there... and your bound to hit something sooner or later. :lol3

Considering all they hype, and the high speed juggernaught that HRC is tossing at the rally... the old spanish bloodhound is up there and in the mix... 12 months after (this was the rally) his 2013 DAKAR campaign ground to a halt.

If you think Marc Coma is done... then you have underestimated the man... there is nothing he would like more, than to take the 2013 CCR FIM title AND start in january as favourite, that you can be sure of.

Honda's juggernaut and KTM's usual juggernaut is making me root for Despre's modest attempt with Yamaha.
He's almost a privateer now. :rofl

    :lol3:lol3:lol3 Team D'eserteur...

Perhaps CDP plans to take over the mantle of Fretigné as the "one man YAMAHA band" against the Red & Orange armada...? :evil

Could this have the makings of a new biblical fable: "Cyril and Goliath"... :rofl

No idea if the Baja timings are strictly comparable to the Rally ones (navigation? no navigation for both?) but if so, Ruoso 2h51' is a pretty good score that would have place him in the first 15 overall :deal
