if you go to "iron forum" you can read further about this.it is devoted to russian motorcycles, and mostly sidecars.the two main players are dnepr and ural.a fair number of riders on this site are ural/dnepr owners.i have a 1970 dnepr mt-16 rig.it is the fulltime 2wd model.great fun at a moderate pace!!!

I bought a '96 sportsmam a couple of years ago. It's the funest bike I've ever had! My wife rides and we have a 6 year old son. We'll ride down town during the summer, me and the dude on the hack and my wife on her R75, quality family time. In a year or two I'd like to do a Baja trip, just the three of us.I'm torn weather to throw the dude on the back of my 1150Adv or pull the trigger on a new Gear Up and have the wife ride our HD MT500. Slow and easy, hitting dirt roads and beaches. I WILL have a Gear Up, the quality of Ural is growing everyday and I'll tell you right now that if park one of these beasts on the street down town, on a nice summer day, it'll get more looks than ten $75k custom choppers! They are the uber family ADV ride. Thanks for the link.
    Eman out.
