I've been searching high and low and haven't had any luck. I'm looking for a pair of waterproof casual (cruiser) riding boots that look decent to be worn in the office with jeans and that will be comfortable walking all day. Any help appreciated..

Was looking at these, but liked the Canyon Better, or maybe the onroad. I wear Sidi moto boots an love the quality. I don't love the narrow fit so much. How do yours feel walking for extended periods?

I have a pair of Canyons that are old but have held up to a lot of abuse. More recently I bought Adventures. They are a slimmer fit but offer much more ankle protection. They were quite stiff and squeaked when walking but that has subsided. Mine are not the new gortex model and can be hot.

The local motorcycle shop carries them. They are lightweight and very comfortable boots with side zippers to make it easier to put them on. Some riders do not want laces that might catch on foot-pegs but I haven't had any problem (so far). :evil

I have arthritis in both feet and a neuroma in my right and these are the most comfortable boots I have. The price seems right for a good street riding boot.

+1 on the Canyons. Great street boot and they look good as a work shoe if clean (I say if because the suede is hard to clean). They are also comfortable for walking.

You might also look at the Alpinestar Web goretex boot. I think it looks better than the Sidi Canyon for office use. I have both.

No affiliation with this company. Good deal on the Astars Web Goretex. I bought a pair. Only wore them a couple of times, but so far I like 'em. Especially for the price.

They also have a good deal on the old style Ridges. I'm not sure what the difference is between the old and new.

Edit: forgot to mention sizing. See Revzilla's size chart notes or my boot whore post. I bought 44's which are labeled 9.5 us. I wear 10.5 us and they fit great.

My last pair of boots were the BMW All-Around and they did exactly what you are looking for. They were comfortable for walking, waterproof and were an excellent street riding boot. At $250, they are also a lot less expensive than any other BMW boot. I just wore mine out but it took a lot to do that. I decided to replace them with the Santiago boots which are also fantastic, but are larger and less inconspicuous in the office.

I've got both the Sidi On Road and the Canyon. Both are great boots and comfortable. I'd give the On Roads a very slight edge in all day walking comfort. If I were to ride to work and wear the same boot all day I'd use my Canyon's. The reason being with the Canyon's a standard athletic sock is high enought to use with that boot. If you don't want the taller On Road's rubbing against your leg when you walk then a high sock is needed. In cool weather riding it's great, walking around a lot when it's warm out just make you feel hotter.

Dinner tactical lace up with side zipper. Tie 'em once and then just zip. They are waterproof which I insured with silicone. As light as tennis shoes, comfortable all day and don't look bad if kept shined. Best boots I've ever worn. Wear them hiking as we'll as riding.
