If you're traveling through Red Deer, Alberta and need use of a shop, I may be able to help. I have a shop with a good set of mechanics tools, air compressor, mig, arc, oxy-acetylene if I fill my bottles. Even have an enclosed trailer if you're stranded. I'm on call all the time, so never know if I'll be around but if I am, you're in. Of course, no charge.
Everybody can use a little good karma, me included.
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, didn't know where to put it.

Where are you at? I don't think I've seen that BMW around town.

I met Bill but never got a chance to know him.
As an aside, you passed me on the Icefields Pkwy on that trip.
I won't forget my wife saying "look at all the junk on those bikes. I bet they're on that site you go to":lol3

small world we live in. Bill was watching my SPOT tracking and rode over from Red Deer to meet me at that midway cafe/fuel stop. he had just taken delivery on that F800 and already had the front wheel badly mashed up in two places. as you may recall, he was killed on the 800 in a hit&run in Mexico the following winter.

i was northbound to Inuvik and Deadhorse and had plenty of extra cold weather clothes, didn't need any of that extra junk and mailed it home from Haines on the way back south.

i got hit by a grain truck in western Montana on that trip, survived, beat and pried the bike back together, rode it home 2700 miles. adventure...

I'm in Red Deer, don't ride around town much, usually hit the hiway when I get a chance.
